The Twelve Steps

When I admit I'm powerless, my power
Returns through a power greater than
Myself: I surrender to it fully.
I take an inventory and realize
Why my power had gone. I admit my
Part in the power cut and am ready
To have my defects removed. I ask
Humbly for their removal while I list
All whom I have harmed and begin to
Restore to them what I had taken from
Them. Each day I balance my actions and
Pray to be guided to right action.
As a result I wake up to my place
And responsibilities in the world.
